Want to contribute to Philippine Typhoon relief? Do it through iTunes

If you want to contribute to the typhoon relief for the Philippines, Apple has made it doorknob simple. Just fire up iTunes, any version. Pictured above is the iPad version. Just watch that featured carousel at the top. If it is not there immediately, after a few seconds, the Red Cross banner will come around. Click or tap it to get to the screen that you see above.

As you can clearly see, you are able to donate $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, and $200. What you may not realize is that every penny of your donation goes to the cause. Apple takes nothing for administration fees or credit card processing. If you give $5, $5 goes to typhoon relief, not $4.79, or some other reduced amount. The funds are billed exactly like every other iTunes purchase. The transaction is safe and secure. Why doesn't Samsung copy things like this?
