Perhaps you have been seeing reports from reputable sources about how the iPad has fallen to the Android army of tablets. I have been warning against taking these reports too seriously. Here is yet another reason that made the news a few days ago:
These media sticks are little more than thumb drives loaded with stolen content, that can be connected to a TV. They do not have touchscreens. They are not tablets by any definition of the word. But, they do run Android as an embedded OS. That is no different than kitchen appliances that have some embedded version of Android. Yet, these units are being counted as Android tablets that by sales, have humbled the mighty iPad. This is just one of the many ways that the trick is done. The same type of thing is done with phones. Now you know.
